Hello Night Crawlers, I hope you’re all booked and busy this this sparkly holiday season!!! I’m currently in an uber home from the airport after a fabulously warm(er) weekend in LA for a friend’s wedding, and cannot believe Christmas is barely a day away! Tomorrow marks a full day of cooking prep AND apparently sewing because I totally forgot to actually make my outfit. Oops!
Every year my hub’s family comes up with a THEME for Christmas Eve to help guide the menu (and our ensembles), and this year we are doing “Classic Christmas”, which I’m extra excited about because I ADORE the 1960s. If you’re not sure what exactly “Classic Christmas” means, here are some mood boards I made to help everyone “get” the vibe:
Outfit-wise, I’ve been dying to recreate a version of this iconic Christmas tree dress Michelle Pfeiffer famously wore in Grease 2 ever since I first saw it in the 90s. I still need to find my star headpiece and actually construct the dress, but I do have the supplies all set!!!
Anyway, thank you to all of you beautiful Nocturnal Creatures for enjoying the fun of art, style, & culture with me this year! I’m taking a holiday break this week but I will be back with a **very special** pre New Year’s edition next week.
